Bravo to Air Swingtown, But Just Season One
Sep 30, 2008

As the world (or at least a few of us) await word of the renewal of Swingtown, the network Bravo has announced that it has acquired re-run rights to the show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
And while its good news that fans can catch their favorite Season 1 episodes again, it doesn’t necessarily help renewal efforts. Unless, of course, Swingtown’s repeats have a Criminal Intent-esque surge to such a degree it inspires Bravo or another network to pick up the series for Season 2. Not counting chickens here.
Bravo will likely air the first 13 episodes, but the Reporter says the second-season is a ‘very long shot’, continuing that “The off-network sale essentially closes the door on the possibility of the show continuing with new episodes on CBS or another network.”
The first repeats will appear on Bravo in the fall.

This is a great show. Ranks up there with ‘Madmen’, ‘Breaking norm’ and ‘battlestar galactica’.
This show needs to be renewed.

My friends and I love this show. We are all very disappointed that we can’t watch it anymore. We never missed an episode.

I agree it is a great show. I’m glad that at least it will move to Bravo BUT….if WE don’t make ourselves heard- it’s as good as ‘dead’. Make your voice known:

I say Bravo to Bravo! I love this show and want to know what happens next. I think it was a victim of a bad timeslot for a great show. I DVR’d to make sure I caught every episode. Funny, I was only 10 years old during the time period the show takes place in but I remember every bad kitchen wallpaper and gross furniture as if it were yesterday. I wanted the next show after watching one. It’s too good to let drift off. Everyone write!
